Why does UPS refuse to knock?

Its bad when the only reason you know you have a package on your doorstep (literally) is because you tracked it online and the tracker indicated that it was delivered.  I was home when the delivery was made, if only the UPS driver had knocked, Addie’s 12 boxes of diaper wipes wouldn’t have been sitting outside in a thunderstorm.

Awesome… I hope they did not get damaged.

UPS folk are notorious for not knocking, the only time I’ve ever seen them do it is when a signature is required. At our apartment building, UPS packages are usually left at the bottom of the stairs.. It’s out of the rain, but a great place for any passer-by to swipe stuff. Fex-Ex people are the worst though, they knock, but they don’t wait long enough for you to actually answer the door, by the time you get their, they’re in their truck and gone.
