Ponderings of a Scientist

moderately useless musings on the World as I see it

Add millions and millions together and eventually you get a lot of money

For the first time ever, the Forbes 400 List, the list of the top 400 (why 400?) richest people in the World, names only billionaires.  Multi-millionaires didn’t make the cut.  The rich just keep getting richer and the poor just keep dying in Iraq.

Its nice to know tht we don’t have all the hasseles of the rich. My attorneys rates have gone up from $200 an hour to $225. Is my financial manager ripping me off. Are they humping my wife, children or pets?

Tough life! The real value of wealth will be when they can live hundreds of years while the overall life span declines.

The truely rich have to do many things flagrantly stupid to become just rich. Mr. Gates made so much money per second when he was actually working it made sense for him to hire people to do everything.

True wealth would be to have some one else take your shit for you everyday. Sorry, new record for using the word vulgar in a post. I was actually reading a Sci-Fi story where that was possible. Bodies were called sleeves and the rich had many they swapped out. I was thinking that they could skip all the mundane maintenence items like brushing your teeth. Just send your sleeve in for maintenance at the end of the day. The poor were lucky to be able to swap out on their death, usually they got left overs. That would be equivalent fo being reincarnated as a 50 year old every time.

This article backs up your argument and talks about how normal people are generally making less money.
