You’ve been at work for two hours and what have you accomplished?

October 31, 2006 at 10:03 am  |  work, rant

Pretty much nothing. I’m wide awake but brain fried. I think it may have something to do with working 10 hours yesterday and getting less than 7 hours of sleep last night. The changing of the clocks is messing with me a bit more than usual. Is it screwing with anyone else?

Okay, I did pick my team for fantasy congress, so I guess I did something.  It looks like only two others have signed up and that none of them have actually picked there teams (why tizzom? why?).  I’m thinking that I’ll activate the league after the middle-term election… I’ll have to revamp my team depending on gets elected and who controls the house and senate.  If there is democratic majority in both then the big players will probably be dems.  Hmm.

  1. Hmm…. I guess there is another added benefit to working from home. Normally I’m off kilter for days when we change clocks, I didn’t even notice this year.

  2. I’ve started, but it’s taking a while. It’s hard to find who I want so I was thinking of starting two experimental teams.

    1) People who I consider as being ugly with respect to what mainstream media would have you believe.
    2) People who I consider as being beautiful with respect to what mainstream media would have you believe.

If team ugly wins, then ugly people are more productive than beautiful people.
If team ugly loses, then the opposite.
    However,
If team beautiful wins, then beautiful people are more productive OR are more popular OR are more likely to be listened to.
If team beautiful loses, then they were pretty much elected because of looks and they actually suck and shouldn’t be in politics and the Americans in those states/districts should be lip-sticked to death.

Also, I was thinking of conducting a similar mustache hypothesis test.

  3. There are many ways to pick a team. I never thought of the mustache method though. Hmm… There are so many variables to take into account! How will I ever decided on a team!
