Shock and Awe
If you want to, go read this article entitled “N. Korea: U.S. does not have ‘monopoly’ on pre-emptive strike“. The dailykos has a write up that pretty much sums this up. A quote:
The Bush Doctrine has, in our dear leader’s words, clearly “emboldened our enemies,” even if it remains at the threatening chatter level. The press didn’t do it. The anti-war critics didn’t do it. The U.N. didn’t do it. Swaggering around the world televising shock and awe, specifying nations on our shit list, borrowing our way to bankruptcy, and making threats on which it’s doubtful we can follow through - at least with several nations and on several continents at once - has done it.
I wanted to sit down last night a write but I just felt like crap. So all I did was vegetate on the couch with Heidi as she works on her new quilt. I’m tired today and probably still a little sick. I was too lazy to take a shower, too awake to lie in bed, and too bored to sit around at home; so I went to work real early like.
